Merry Christmas & Happy New Year (2019/2020)

We did our own family photos this year. Although they didn’t turn out as professionally as I had naively imagined, they did work out pretty darn good - if I do say so myself. What’s more, we learned some helpful picture taking strategies with littles (distraction techniques, bribery Dos & Don'ts, etc.) and made some pretty great memories along the way.

As I look back on 2019, I realize that it was also filled with innumerable learning experiences and breathtaking memories: my best friend got married and is going to be a parent soon, my own family of littles went camping - twice! -, and I started a freelance writing business! I'm so excited to see what 2020 has in store. If it's anything like this last year, it'll be fantastic! With the new year right around the corner, people will be thinking about resolutions and new firsts steps. This is the perfect time to remember that we can make the most of what we already have by being our true selves, practicing gratitude, and inviting only supportive, loving people into our lives. Planned changes happen gradually and only by putting our best foot forward and giving it our all. Now that we are eyeballs-deep into the holiday season, I would like to take this opportunity to say:
