Shauna Leigh Artistry was born from an intense love for learning, the written word, and helping others. Integrity, quality, and community make up the backbone of the business which allows us to enthusiastically support other service-based entrepreneurs to have a better grasp on their content. Being invited to learn about others’ businesses is an honour and helping them to focus on their zone of genius, instead of what to write next, is a thrill.
As a female business owner with big ideas and even bigger dreams, I can’t tell you how many times someone has given me that ‘knowing’ smile, figurative pat on the head, and a semi-sarcastic “good luck with that”. Luckily, I’m the kind of woman who takes that as a challenge and, with the support of an amazing community of like-minded people, I have been able to accomplish some pretty amazing things.
We can move mountains, we can rise above the naysayers,
we can achieve everything we set our minds to.
There’s no doubt in that.
Why not help others at it while you do? I know the struggles of being heard in a largely patriarchal world. Let’s change that by elevating each other’s voices in all things womanhood, female business professional, and champions for positive change in this crazy beautiful world.
I am a feminist, human rights advocate, lover of our Mother Earth, and - like all of us - so much more than what meets the eye. I am a strong supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement as well as a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. Promoting equality, inclusivity, and diversity in all aspects of life is extremely important and ultimately life-altering. Showing respect to others, regardless of potentially differing opinions is a part of not only being an adult but also simply being human. In my home, even the littlest Van Mourik knows to “Lead with Kindness” and that is precisely how I approach all things life and business.
As a strong supporter of environmentalism, I have also pledged to make sustainable choices whenever possible and encourage others to do their part as well. Zero-waste advocate, Anne Marie Bonneau once said:
We don’t need a handful of people doing zero-waste perfectly.
We need millions of people doing it imperfectly.
Through these incentives, I hope that we can work together to make our world a better place; for now, and for generations to come. By supporting one another in our aspirations to make a positive difference, our motivation and influence become stronger!
My part in all of this is to share my skills in the copywriting space by offering a spotlight position in Femme Friday where 50 women will be given a professionally written profile highlighting their life, business, passions and advocacies to be shared across platforms and otherwise used to their benefit.
